It's Always Gumbo Weather!! and Directions

Weather for Gumbo Cook Off is perfect "Chamber of Commerce" weather-- sunny, blue skies, gentle breezes and 68 degrees! (Please note, we do not have a metorologist on staff.) Easiest Route: Drive into Iberia Parish on either Hwy 90, Hwy 182, Hwy 31, or Hwy 14. Roll your window down. INHALE, and follow your nose to downtown New Iberia. Aroma should get stronger as you get closer. It's a sure Sign you are there when you see people having fun! For those of you with GPS, the location of the Cook Off is 100 West Main Street, New Iberia, Louisiana. It's in Bouligny Plaza in the downtown commercial historic district. You can't miss it!

Welcome to the 22nd Annual World Championship Gumbo Cook Off Blog! Check here to see what's happening at this year's Gumbo Cook Off! Watch for your favorite teams! You won't believe how many booths are cooking on Saturday and what they are cooking. There's a great line up of bands beginning this year, for the third year, on Friday evening.

We'll see you on New Iberia's award winning Main Street Friday evening for great music, on Saturday for live music, great shopping, and an incredible array of food, then finally for the big event on Sunday--the World Championship Gumbo Cook Off!
