Approximately 50 booths cook anything BUT gumbo during the lunch time zone on Saturday. Selections often include jambalaya, corn and crab bisque, fried fish, red beans, funnel cakes and other desserts. The general public purchases tickets for food sampling and for cold drinks. beer and mixed drinks.
There will be a red beans and rice cook off included in Saturday morning’s activities.

Approximately 90 booths compete for the World Championship Gumbo Cook Off title in an amateur category and a professional category. Amateurs compete in the seafood, chicken and sausage, and mélange categories. Professionals compete in the seafood and non-seafood categories.
Cold drinks and beer are available for purchase.
