You hear it all the time. "I've got the best red beans!" Now we know. Thanks to Kernis Louviere with Krewe of Lou and Walther Voorhies of Uncle's Barbecue Sauce a red bean cook off was incorporated into the Saturday morning events of this year's gumbo cook off and the score was settled--at least for now! The meanest beans award went to Acadiana Hydraulic Works, second place to Community First Bank and third place to Unlimited Machines.
